Easy hot rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- boiling water - 2 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- lukewarm water - 1/2 c
- yeast cakes - 2 item
How to make easy hot rolls:
Soften yeast cakes in 1/2 cup warm water. Add sugar. Mix boiling water with the 1/2 cup sugar, salt and shortening. Let stand until lukewarm; mix with the yeast mixture. Now, stir in the 2 beaten eggs. Add flour slowly, beating constantly to make a smooth dough that will not stick to your fingers. Let rise, then knead. Roll out and cut into rolls. Let rise again.
