Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • flour - 3 4
  • melted butter - 1 item
  • boiling water - 1/2 c
  • shortening - 3 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • lukewarm water - 1/2 c
  • All-Bran cereal - 1/2 c

How to make cloverleaf bran rolls:

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Let cool to lukewarm. Add remaining ingredients. Use enough flour to make a soft dough (sticky). Cover bowl and let rise until doubled in bulk. Punch down and shape into balls. Dip balls in butter and place 3 in each cup of a muffin pan that has been well greased. Let rise until doubled. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Makes about 16 to 18 rolls.
