Cinnamon bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 5 to
- margarine or butter - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- warm water - 1/4 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- cinnamon and sugar - 1 item
- warm milk - 1 c
How to make cinnamon bread:
Soften yeast in warm water and let set until bubbly. Combine milk, sugar, salt, shortening, about 2 cups of the flour and eggs. Add bubbly yeast and beat well, then add remaining flour gradually. Turn onto floured board and knead about 5 minutes. Let rise in greased bowl until double in bulk. Divide into two portions. Each will make a loaf of bread. Roll each section into large rectangle; spread generously with margarine, cinnamon and sugar. Roll up jelly roll fashion; tuck under ends and place in well-greased bread pan. Let rise until triple in bulk; bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Healthy, Weeknight.
