  • box chocolate cake mix - 1 item
  • Filling:1 stick oleo
  • granulated sugar - 1 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • flour - 4 Tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • lukewarm evaporated milk - 2/3 c
  • Topping:1 stick oleo, melted
  • egg - 1 item
  • pre-melted chocolate or 3 sq - 3 pkg
  • hot water
  • powdered sugar - 3 c

How to make ho ho cake:

Filling:1 stick oleo1 c. granulated sugar1/2 c. shortening4 Tbsp. flour1 tsp. vanilla2/3 c. lukewarm evaporated milk Topping:1 stick oleo, melted1 egg3 pkg. pre-melted chocolate or 3 sq. chocolate, melted or 3 Tbsp. cocoa plus 3 Tbsp. oil1 tsp. vanilla2 1/2 tsp. hot water3 c. powdered sugar Bake cake mix according to package directions on a jelly roll pan. Cool! Cream oleo, granulated sugar and shortening until smooth. Add flour and vanilla until mixed well. Beat in evaporated milk. Spread over cake and refrigerate to set. Mix topping ingredients until smooth and spread over set filling. Refrigerate.
