Ingredients/Components
- box chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- Filling:1 stick oleo
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- lukewarm evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- Topping:1 stick oleo, melted
- egg - 1 item
- pre-melted chocolate or 3 sq - 3 pkg
- hot water
- powdered sugar - 3 c
How to make ho ho cake:
Filling:1 stick oleo1 c. granulated sugar1/2 c. shortening4 Tbsp. flour1 tsp. vanilla2/3 c. lukewarm evaporated milk Topping:1 stick oleo, melted1 egg3 pkg. pre-melted chocolate or 3 sq. chocolate, melted or 3 Tbsp. cocoa plus 3 Tbsp. oil1 tsp. vanilla2 1/2 tsp. hot water3 c. powdered sugar Bake cake mix according to package directions on a jelly roll pan. Cool! Cream oleo, granulated sugar and shortening until smooth. Add flour and vanilla until mixed well. Beat in evaporated milk. Spread over cake and refrigerate to set.
