Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 c
- sifted flour
- green food coloring - 1 item
How to make christmas trees:
Heat oven to 400°. Cream the shortening, adding sugar gradually. Add unbeaten egg, flour, salt, baking powder and almond extract. Add a few drops of green food coloring; mix well. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets, using the tree plate. Decorate with sugar or tiny candies. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
