  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • almond extract - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • drained pineapple - 3/4 c
  • chopped coconut - 1/2 c

How to make hawaiian drop cookies:

Cream shortening, sugar and extracts. Beat in egg until fluffy. Add pineapple and dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet 3-inches apart. Sprinkle with coconut and then bake at 325° for about 20 minutes.
