Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- jar maraschino cherries - 1 oz
- walnuts, coarsely chopped - 2 c
- eggs, room temperature - 5 item
How to make christmas cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour and vanilla. Blend well. Fold in nuts and cherries. (Roll cherries in flour first to avoid sinking.) Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, then lower to 325° and bake one hour.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, English.
