Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 c
- confectioners sugar - 1/4 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- red food coloring
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- strawberry preserves - 1 c
- Beat in eggs, one at a time
How to make strawberry bread:
Blend butter, sugar, vanilla, salt and lemon juice in a large bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Dissolve soda in sour cream. Add to egg mixture. Fold in remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour batter into 2 greased loaf pans or into cupcake pans. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Cupcakes take 20 to 25 minutes. Serve with Strawberry Butter for a special treat.Strawberry Butter:1 c. fresh or frozen strawberries1 c. butter, softened1/4 c. confectioners sugar Blend with mixer or food processor.
