Chicken chow mein
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 2 c
- thinly sliced celery - 2 c
- cubed cooked chicken - 2 c
- sliced onions
- mushrooms, drained - 1 can
- mixed Chinese vegetables, drained - 1 can
How to make chicken chow mein:
Brown chicken lightly in butter. Add celery, onion, salt, pepper and chicken broth. Cook covered about 15 minutes or until vegetables are just tender. Add drained Chinese vegetables and mushrooms. Heat to boiling; add cornstarch mixed with soy sauce; simmer 2 minutes. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Chicken, Pasta, Main dish.
