Ingredients/Components
- sticks butter - 2 item
- sugar - 3 c
- cake flour - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- Carnation milk
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- Add eggs one at a time
- stick butter, melted - 1 item
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream the butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Mix salt, cocoa, baking powder and flour together. Add vanilla to milk. Add half of the flour mixture and half of the milk, then the other half of each; mix well. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Icing:1 box 4x sugar1 stick butter, melted3 Tbsp. cocoa1/4 to 1/2 c.
