- eggs - 5 item
- tsp salt - 1/4 item
- c milk - 1 item
- c sugar - 3 item
- c flour - 3 item
- tsp baking powder - 1/2 item
- tsp vanilla - 3 item
- lb butter - 1/2 item
- rounded tsp cocoa - 5 item
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at at time. Sift dry ingredients together. Then add to butter mixture, starting and ending with flour alternately with milk.Pour into a greased and floured tube pan with waxed paper cut to fit the bottom. Bake in oven at 325 degrees for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or less. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then turn out on cake rack to cool.
