- vanilla - 1 item
- milk - 2 c
- flour
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- cocoa
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- 1/2 sticks butter or margarine - 1 item
- Meringue:4 egg whites
How to make chocolate pie:
Meringue:4 egg whites6 Tbsp. sugar1/4 tsp. cream of tartar pinch of salt vanilla Beat egg yolks; mix sugar, flour and cocoa. Add to egg yolks; mix thoroughly. Add milk, salt, vanilla and butter. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue. Bake 15 minutes at 350°, or until brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
