Ingredients/Components
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- sugar - 1 c
- stick oleo - 3/4 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make chess pie:
Beat egg yolks until lemon-colored. Add small amount of flour to yolks; gradually add sugar and remaining flour. Add melted oleo, stirring constantly. Add milk and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° about 1 hour until firm.Meringue: Beat egg whites until stiff. Spread on pie and brown in a 400° oven, about 8 to 10 minutes.
