Chocolate pie



  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • butter - 1 tsp
  • vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • sweet milk
  • Add milk

How to make chocolate pie:

Mix sugar, flour, cocoa and salt. Add milk. In saucepan, cook over low heat until hot. Slightly beat egg yolks. Slowly add to flour mixture. Cook slowly until thick. Pour into unbaked pie shell (9-inch) and bake at 350° until crust begins to brown. Top with meringue and continue baking until meringue is nicely browned.Meringue:3 egg whites3 Tbsp. sugar1 tsp. vanilla Beat egg whites until foamy. Slowly add 1 tablespoon of sugar at a time. Add vanilla. Beat until stiff. Spread onto hot pie, sealing to crust. Bake as instructed.
