Chocolate fudge
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- chocolate chips - 12 oz
- stick butter or margarine - 3/4 item
- jar Hip-O-Lite - 1 item
How to make chocolate fudge:
Stir the sugar, milk and butter over a low flame until it comes to a boil. Boil (stirring constantly) until a soft ball forms (when adding 1/4 of a teaspoon of mixture to 1/2 cup of cold water). This takes about 15 minutes. Then remove from stove, stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Stir until chocolate chips are melted. Then add Hip-O-Lite and swirl through mixture. Pour in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan. Chill before slicing. Makes about 4 pounds of fudge.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Fudge.
