Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water
- egg yolks - 4 item
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
- Milnot
- 9-inch pie shell, baked
How to make chocolate cream pie:
Heat water and Milnot until hot. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, cocoa, flour and salt. Add hot milk and cook until almost thick. Beat egg yolks. Pour 1/2 of mix in egg yolks. Stir, pour back in pan and cook until thick. Pour in a 9-inch baked pie shell.Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Add 6 tablespoons of sugar. Beat until stiff. Spread on pie and brown. Let cool for 2 hours.
