Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- shredded coconut - 1 c
- oleo - 2/3 c
- canned milk
- washed, drained and chopped sauerkraut - 2/3 c
- Mix eggs, flour, baking powder, soda, cocoa and salt together with water, vanilla and kraut
How to make sauerkraut cake:
Cream well the oleo and sugar. Mix eggs, flour, baking powder, soda, cocoa and salt together with water, vanilla and kraut. Mix well. Bake in greased and floured 2 layer or sheet cake pan at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing:1 c. brown sugar1 1/2 c. canned milk1 Tbsp. flour2 egg yolks1 tsp. vanilla4 Tbsp. butter1 c. shredded coconut1/2 c. chopped nuts Cook and stir while cooking the first 4 ingredients.
