- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2/3 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cocoa - 4 5
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- Add shortening and the first amount of milk called for
How to make chocolate cake:
Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add shortening and the first amount of milk called for. Beat with mixture for 2 minutes. Add eggs, rest of milk and vanilla. Beat 2 more minutes. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Chocolate Icing:1/4 c. milk1 Tbsp. butter4 or 5 Tbsp. cocoa2 1/2 c. sugar Put in 12-inch skillet 3/4 full of water. Bring to slow boil stirring constantly.
