  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream the Crisco. Add sugar; continue creaming. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add vanilla, then the sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a large angel food pan at 325°.
