Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2/3 c
  • cornmeal - 1/2 c
  • chili powder - 1 item
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • shredded cheese - 1/2 c
  • can whole kernel corn, undrained - 1 oz
  • cut-up cooked chicken - 2 c
  • cans spicy chili beans, undrained - 2 oz
  • Bisquick Dumplings - 1 item
  • Cover and simmer 5 minutes

How to make chili chicken:

Mix chicken and tomato sauce in 4-quart Dutch oven. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in beans and corn. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low.

Prepare dumplings and drop by spoonfuls on hot chili mixture. Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook 3 minutes. Serves six.Dumplings:1 1/2 c. Bisquick1/2 c. cornmeal2/3 c. milk chili powder Mix Bisquick, cornmeal and milk until soft dough forms. Stir in desired amount of chili powder.
