Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 2 c
- chili powder - 5 Tbsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- large onions, chopped - 4 item
- olive oil - 1/3 c
- cayenne - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaves - 4 item
- cumin - 1 tsp
- can green chilies - 1 oz
- can tomatoes, chopped - 1 oz
- cans light red kidney beans, drained - 2 oz
- round, cut in 1/2-inch cubes - 2 lb
How to make chili:
Saute onions and garlic in oil until transparent. In 5-quart pot, brown beef, 1/3 at a time. Mix in green chilies and cook for 2 minutes. Add all ingredients to beef and mix well. Cook on low heat for 3 hours and serve.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, One Dish meal, Chili.
