Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 2 bouillon
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 2 Tbsp
  • catsup - 1/4 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 2 lb
  • oregano - 1 Tbsp
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • freshly ground pepper to taste - 1 item
  • Tabasco sauce - 1/8 tsp
  • onions, chopped - 4 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz
  • can beer - 1 oz
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • cans red kidney beans undrained - 3 oz
  • celery with leaves, chopped - 1 c

How to make chili:

Saute together meat, onions, celery and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain fat. In a large kettle, combine meat mixture with remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; lower heat and simmer, covered, for 2 to 3 hours. Soup freezes well.
