Chicken stroganoff
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 4 tsp
- paprika - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce
- minced green onion - 4 tsp
- white wine - 1/2 c
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 3/4 lb
- large whole chicken breasts, boned and skinned - 2 item
How to make chicken stroganoff:
Slice chicken into strips about 3 inches by 1/4 inch. Combine flour, salt and pepper in bag. Add chicken and shake to coat. In skillet, saute chicken in butter over medium heat until golden and tender. Remove to serving dish and keep warm. Add green onions, mushrooms and wine to skillet. Cook, stirring until liquid disappears. Reduce heat to low. Stir in paprika, sour cream and Worcestershire and heat sauce through.
