Ingredients/Components
- cream cheese - 6 oz
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter or margarine - 1 item
- seasoned bread crumbs - 2 c
- soft margarine - 4 Tbsp
- cooked cubed chicken - 2 c
- crescent rolls Pillsbury - 2 pkg
- mushroom pieces, drained - 2/3 c
How to make chicken rolls:
Combine cream cheese, butter and pepper until smooth. Stir in chicken and mushrooms. Separate rolls and roll them out a little larger. Fill with chicken filling and press dough together (like a diaper). Roll rolls in melted butter, then in bread crumbs. Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 20 minutes at 375°.Herb Sauce: Medium white sauce made with part chicken broth and part milk; basil, rosemary, sage and bay leaf. Serve over rolls.
