Chicken rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chicken broth - 1 c
- peas - 1 c
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- pinch of pepper - 1 item
- or so cooked, cubed chicken - 1 lb
- can chicken rice or cream of chicken soup - 1 item
How to make chicken rice casserole:
Brown chicken, onion and celery in the shortening. Add rice, salt, pepper, chicken broth, water and soup. Mix together. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 325°.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
