Porcupines in mushroom sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 3 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- prepared mustard - 2 tsp
- green pepper - 1/2 c
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- ground chuck
- sour cream optional - 1/3 c
- mushroom soup mix - 1 pkg
How to make porcupines in mushroom sauce:
Combine uncooked rice with ground meat, onion, green pepper, celery, egg, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well. Form into 1 1/2-inch balls. Place in 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Combine mushroom soup mix with water and heat to boiling. Pour over meatballs. Cover tightly and bake in 350° oven for 1 hour. Remove and stir in sour cream.
