- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item

- large onion, sliced - 1 item
- milk or light cream - 2 Tbsp
- crisp lettuce - 1 item
- mayonnaise or cooked salad dressing - 1 c
- stalks celery, cut into 1-inch pieces - 2 item
- large celery stalks - 3 item
- ready to cook roasting chicken - 5 5
- large carrots, pared and cut into 1-inch pieces - 2 item
How to make chicken pineapple salad:
Remove giblets and neck from chicken, then rinse chicken well under cold water. Place chicken, breast side down, in an 8-quart kettle.
