- buttermilk - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- stick margarine, melted - 1 item
- reserved chicken broth - 2 c
- chicken breasts or 1 cooked chicken - 2 3
How to make chicken pie:
Cook chicken until tender. Remove meat from bones and reserve broth. Cut chicken into small pieces and place in a 13 x 9-inch pan. In a saucepan, mix and bring to a boil the broth and soup. In another bowl, combine margarine, pepper, salt, flour and buttermilk. Mix thoroughly to form a batter. Pour mixture over chicken. Spoon batter over top.
