Chicken noodle soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 6 oz
- water - 12 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- cooked chicken, diced - 4 c
- marjoram leaves - 1/2 tsp
- diced carrot - 1 c
- chicken flavor bouillon - 3 Tbsp
How to make chicken noodle soup:
In a large Dutch oven, cook celery, onion and carrot in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients except noodles and parsley. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and add noodles and parsley. Cook 10 minutes longer or until noodles are tender. Stir occasionally. Makes 4 quarts.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chicken, Pasta.
