Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 6 oz
  • water - 12 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • cooked chicken, diced - 4 c
  • marjoram leaves - 1/2 tsp
  • diced carrot - 1 c
  • chicken flavor bouillon - 3 Tbsp

How to make chicken noodle soup:

In a large Dutch oven, cook celery, onion and carrot in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients except noodles and parsley. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and add noodles and parsley. Cook 10 minutes longer or until noodles are tender. Stir occasionally. Makes 4 quarts.
