Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 1 item
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • melted butter or margarine - 1/2 lb
  • dried onion - 1 Tbsp
  • chicken breasts as many as needed, skinned and boned - 1 item
  • dried onion for each breast - 1/2 tsp
  • dash of garlic salt for each breast - 1 item
  • parsley for each - 1/2 tsp
  • thin pat butter for each - 1 item
  • Sauce:2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
  • water with a little flour to thicken

How to make chicken kiev:

Sauce:2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes1 1/2 c. water with a little flour to thicken1/2 lb. melted butter or margarine1 Tbsp. dried onion1 Tbsp. parsley Flatten each chicken breast. Sprinkle each with dried onion, garlic salt, parsley and a pat of butter. Roll each breast and dip in egg, then in flour. Brown in Crisco. After browning, bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.

To make sauce, combine bouillon cubes, water with flour, melted butter, dried onion and parsley. Heat, stirring constantly while it thickens. Serve as a gravy over chicken for those who wish.
