Chicken croquettes
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- parsley flakes - 2 tsp
- bread crumbs - 1 c
- minced onion - 1 tsp
- chicken, cut up - 2 c
How to make chicken croquettes:
Melt butter in frypan; saute onion until tender. Stir in flour; remove from heat. Add milk. Heat to boiling point. Stir until thickened; fold in chicken, parsley, salt and pepper. Cover and chill good. Heat oil. Beat egg with water. Spread crumbs on wax paper. Shape in patties; roll in crumbs, then egg mixture and again in crumbs. Fry in oil; drain on paper towels.
