Chicken chow mein
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch
- cold water - 1/4 c
- cooking oil - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- sliced celery - 3 c
- sliced onion - 1 c
- chicken stock - 2 c
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 oz
- 303 can bean sprouts, drained
- sliced cooked chicken, cut in thin slices - 2 c
How to make chicken chow mein:
Heat in deep skillet oil, salt and pepper. Add celery, bean sprouts and sugar. Stir in chicken stock and cook for about 10 minutes. Blend cornstarch, cold water and soy sauce, add to vegetable mixture and stir until mixture thickens. Add chicken.
