- oil - 1/4 c
- tomatoes - 16 oz
- tomato sauce - 8 oz
- mushrooms - 1 c
- water - 1/4 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- cloves garlic, crushed - 2 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Mix flour with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Coat chicken with flour mixture. Heat oil and cook chicken over medium heat until brown, 15 minutes. Drain. Mix tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, water, onion, garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, oregano, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and bay leaf. Break up tomatoes; pour over chicken. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
