Chicken and wild rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/3 c
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- can sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- chopped pimento - 1 c
- chopped chicken, cooked
- box long grain wild rice - 1 item
How to make chicken and wild rice casserole:
Mix salt, onion, celery, green pepper and butter. Gradually stir in chicken broth and soup. Cook until thickened. Cook rice according to package directions including herbs and spices. Mix sauce, rice and chicken. Pour in large casserole. Top with almonds. Bake 30 minutes at 425°.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
