How to make chicken adobo:
Combine chicken, water, vinegar, bay leaf, garlic, pepper and soy sauce in a medium to large saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover and lower heat. Cook until chicken is done and a small amount of broth is left. Add the oil and brown the contents of the pan, if desired. (Cooking time is 45 to 60 minutes average.)
