Sweet and sour pork
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- pineapple chunks - 1 (20
- cooked rice - 3 c
- sliced onion - 1/3 c
- pork
- green pepper strips - 1/3 c
How to make sweet and sour pork:
Cut meat into thin strips, 3 to 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. Heat oil in skillet and brown meat. Pour off fat. Add drained pineapple.Mix juice, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar and salt. Pour over meat. Cook until tender.
Blend water and cornstarch and stir into juices after removing meat and vegetables. Cook until juice mixture is thick. Add meat and serve over rice.
