  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • flour
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • nuts - 1 c
  • dates - 1 c
  • cherries - 1/2 c
  • cornflakes - 1 item

How to make cherry winks:

Put flour, baking soda and baking powder in a bowl. Place eggs, shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla in a bowl. Add nuts, dates and cherries. Mix well. Roll in balls. Crush cornflakes. Roll in cornflakes. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
