Cherry crisp
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 2/3 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
- softened butter or margarine - 1/3 c
- regular oats - 1/2 c
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- pitted fresh dark sweet cherries - 1 lb
How to make cherry crisp:
Heat oven to 375°. Spread cherries in an ungreased square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. Mix remaining ingredients with a fork. Sprinkle over cherries. Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with cream or ice cream, if desired. Makes 6 servings.Two 16 ounce each cans of pitted dark sweet cherries (drained), can be substituted for the fresh cherries.
