Ingredients/Components
- vanilla ice cream - 1 item
- currant jelly - 3/4 c
- rum - 1/4 c
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- brandy - 1/4 c
- syrup - 1/4 c
- pitted dark sweet cherries, drained and reserved - 1 c
How to make cherries jubilee:
Combine syrup and rum. Pour over reserved cherries and refrigerate for 4 hours.In a chafing dish or saucepan, melt jelly over low heat. Stir in cherry mixture and orange peel. Cook and stir constantly, then add brandy. When warm, pour over ice cream.
