Cheeseburger pie
Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- salt
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- fine bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- grated sharp cheese - 2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chili sauce - 1/2 c
How to make cheeseburger pie:
Brown ground beef; drain. Stir in oregano. Stir in salt, pepper, onion, green pepper, bread crumbs and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Press into pie shell.Blend cheese, egg, milk, mustard and Worcestershire sauce; pour over beef mixture. Bake in a preheated 420° oven for 30 minutes. Cut into wedges.
Mix remaining tomato sauce and chili sauce. Heat through. Serve with pie.
