Cheeseburger pie
Ingredients/Components
- 9-inch pie crust - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- fresh, chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- whole oregano - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- milk - 1/4 c
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chilli sauce - 1/2 c
- 8 oz - 2 c
How to make cheeseburger pie:
Bake pie crust at 400° for 3 minutes. Remove and prick gently several times. Bake an additional 5 minutes.Cook beef, green pepper and onion until beef is brown and crumbly; drain and add 1/2 cup tomato sauce and the next 4 ingredients, stirring well. Spoon mixture into prepared crust. Combine egg and the next 4 ingredients, stirring well. Spoon evenly over meat mixture. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Combine remaining tomato sauce and chilli sauce; serve with pie.
