Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 3/4 c
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- sharp cheese, grated - 1 lb
How to make cheese biscuits:
Sift dry ingredients. Mix grated cheese and margarine together. Add dry ingredients to cheese mixture. Dough will be very stiff. Roll about 1/4-inch thick and cut into small biscuits. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325° for 25 minutes or until done, but do not brown. Makes about 125 small biscuits.Note: If self-rising flour is used, omit soda and salt.
