Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • evaporated milk - 1 c
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • 8 oz - 2 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • finely chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
  • cans condensed chicken broth - 2 3/4
  • finely chopped carrot - 1/4 c

How to make cheddar cheese soup:

Cook onion, pepper and carrots in margarine in a 3-quart saucepan for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in flour and mix well. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add broth and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in cheese. Cook over medium heat, stirring until cheese has melted. Add milk. Season and bring just to boiling, but do not boil.
