  • cold water - 2 qt
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • sliced onion - 1 item
  • pinch of thyme - 1 item
  • catfish, cut up - 2 3
  • little parsley - 1 item
  • chopped stalk celery - 1 item

How to make catfish soup:

Put all ingredients, except the milk and butter, in a kettle or stewpan. Cook over low heat until the meat falls apart. Add milk and butter. Bring to a boil. Serve hot.
