Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- corn flakes - 2 c
- onion, chopped - 1/3 c
- cheese, chopped - 1 c
- carrots, cooked and drained - 4 c
How to make carrots and cheese:
Crush corn flakes and mix with 1 tablespoon melted butter. Set aside. Brown onion in remaining butter and add to flour, salt and milk, making a white sauce. Cook until thick, remove from burner and add cheese until melted. Stir in carrots with sauce. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle corn flakes as topping.
