  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • oil
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • grated carrots - 3 c
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • shredded coconut - 1 c
  • corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
  • black walnuts - 1 c
  • flour self-rising - 2 c
  • caps black walnut flavoring - 2 item

How to make carrot cake:

Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1 Tbsp. corn syrup1/2 tsp. soda Mix dry ingredients. Add oil and eggs. Mix well. Add carrots, coconut, nuts and flavoring. Bake 1 hour at 350°.

Glaze: Mix all ingredients, except the soda. Bring to boil. Add soda. Pour over cake while hot.
