Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1/2 oz
- salt - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- peanut butter - 1 Tbsp
- 5 oz
- pepper - 1 item
- chili powder - 1/2 oz
- chopped onions - 2 item
- chopped bell peppers - 2 item
- lean stew meat - 10 lb
- garlic cloves, mashed - 5 item
- mole poblano - 1 tsp
How to make carne guisada:
Salt and pepper meat. Melt shortening, then slowly brown the meat. Add chili powder, comino and garlic. Cook a while longer. Add onions, peppers and tomatoes. After the meat has cooked a while, add the mole poblano and brown sugar. If the gravy needs to be thickened, add flour and water.
