Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chopped green pepper - 2 Tbsp
- chopped tomato - 2 Tbsp
- ground cumin - 1 1
- to 2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 item
- can tomatoes with green chiles, undrained - 1 oz
- round steak, trimmed and cubed - 2 3
How to make carne guisada:
Cook steak in oil in large heavy skillet over medium-high heat, stirring continually, until browned. Sprinkle flour over beef and stir thoroughly. Add onion and remaining ingredients. Bring to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 40 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce is thickened. Serve mixture in flour tortillas.
