Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 1 lb
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • pecan halves - 3 c

How to make caramel pecans:

Mix sugar, water, butter and salt. Come to a boil without stirring. When mixture has reached the rolling ball stage, drop in pecans and continue to cook until when a few drops are dropped into a cup of cold water and a hard balls is formed. Remove from stove and beat until slightly cool. Drop on wax paper.
