Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- popped corn - 6 qt
- Karo syrup - 1/2 c
- peanuts if desired - 1 2
How to make caramel corn:
Bring butter or margarine, brown sugar and Karo syrup to a boil. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda. Pour syrup over popcorn and peanuts. Mix well. Bake in oven for 1 hour at 250°. Stir every 15 minutes. Let cool.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
