Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • popped corn - 6 qt
  • Karo syrup - 1/2 c
  • peanuts if desired - 1 2

How to make caramel corn:

Bring butter or margarine, brown sugar and Karo syrup to a boil. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and baking soda. Pour syrup over popcorn and peanuts. Mix well. Bake in oven for 1 hour at 250°. Stir every 15 minutes. Let cool.
